Bridget Houston receives Canada Graduate Scholarships to Honour Nelson Mandela

Congratulations, Bridget Houston, who has been awarded a Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGS) to Honour Nelson Mandela. Bridget is a year two Master's student in the Counselling Psychology program at the Faculty of Education under the supervision of Dr. Claire Crooks.
Bridget’s current research focuses on the implementation of the Healthy Relationships Program - Enhanced (HRP-E) with youth at the Children’s Aid Society. Bridget is also a part of the staffing team at the Centre for School Mental Health in a Research Assistant role.
The CGS to Honor Nelson Mandela awards celebrates Nelson Mandela’s legacy and his “pursuit of peace, democracy, justice and freedom through learning, understanding and educating.” Graduate students in Canada are recognized and supported as they conduct research in one or more of the following areas:
- national unity
- democracy, freedom and human rights
- leadership
- children’s participation in society
- children’s health.
