Reflections on the remarkable achievements of the RISE-R project.

Reflections on the remarkable achievements of the RISE-R project.

It is with immense pride and gratitude that we reflect on the remarkable achievements of the RISE-R project. The past five years have been a testament to our community stakeholders' unwavering dedication and collaborative spirit. The RISE-R project embarked on a mission to promote resilience and inclusion, focusing on strengthening relationships and preventing gender-based violence. Today, we stand together, celebrating the consistent growth and success that has defined this transformative initiative. Our collaborative efforts extended to 30 partner organizations, each playing a pivotal role in delivering HRPP, HRP-E, and HRP for 2S/LGBTQIA+ youth.

The RISE-R project has trained 1282 facilitators, surpassing our target by 237%, and reached 5123 youth, exceeding the goal by 197%. These numbers are more than statistics; they represent lives positively impacted and communities strengthened.

Karmie Dhillon, Project ManagerThis tremendous achievement was also made possible by our wonderful Project Manager, Karmie Dhillon. The passion and stability that Karmie brought to this project was formidable and we will definitely miss her at the Centre for School Mental Health. We are grateful for the privilege of Karmie’s leadership that has made a significant and lasting difference for the mental health of our youth.

As we close this chapter, the Centre for School Mental Health carries forward the lessons learned, the relationships forged, and the impact created. The RISE-R project has been more than a series of accomplishments; it has been a journey of resilience, collaboration, and positive change.
